Redmi Note 10 Review

This phone was officially announced on March 30, 2021 along with the Redmi Note 10 Pro. As the name suggests, the Redmi Note 10 is the direct successor of the Redmi Note 9 released last year.

Amoled Screen

The first advantage is that Redmi Note 10 uses an Amoled panel screen. This is the main "sale" specification that XIOMI continous to echo.

Redmi Note 10 has a screen with a diagonal of 6.43 inches with resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, Amoled panel and has been protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

The AMOLED screen has several advantages, including efficient power consumption, being able to display brighter colors, to present a better viewing angle (it can still be seen clearly even though viewed from the side).

Redmi Note 10 is fully equipped with a powerful chipset in its class. The chipset in question is the Snapdragon 678, the successor to the Snapdragon 675.

Compared to its predecessor, Snapdragon 678 is faster. According to the Kompas Tekno page , this happened because the chipset used a Kryo 460 CPU with a clock speed of 2.2 Ghz. The clock speed is faster than its predecessor, Snapdragon 675 which has a clock speed of 2.0 Ghz.

Note, chipset performance affects the operating speed of a cellphone, from opening one application to the other application, even the most it felt when used to play heavy games.

According to the kimovil page, the global version of the Redmi Note 10 received an Antutu v8 benchmark score of 277,254. This score is higher than the Redmi Note 9 (using the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset) which received a 205,946 Antutu v8 score.

From the era of the Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 9, and now to the Redmi Note 10, Xiaomi has always embedded four rear cameras and one selfie camera on one of its flagship phones.
The rear camera of the Redmi Note 10 has a 48 MP (f / 1.8, 26mm) PDAF configuration, an 8 MP ultra wide camera (f / 2.2, 118 degrees), a 2 MP macro camera (f / 2.4), and a 2 MP depth sensor (f / 2.4). ). Meanwhile, on the front there is a selfie camera with a resolution of 13 MP (f / 2.5).
With various lenses the existence of four rear cameras is certainly a good thing, especially for those of you who like taking photographs. If you like to take pictures of objects at close range (for example: food), you can take advantage of a macro lens. Or, if you like shooting wide landscapes, you can take advantage of the main camera, or an ultra wide camera.

Redmi Note 10 is equipped with a large capacity battery, 5,000 mAh to support its performance so that it can be used all day long. The best part, this battery is also supported by the 33 Watt fast charging feature.
Xiaomi claims, with the fast charging feature, the battery of Redmi Note 10 can be charged 50 percent in 25 minutes and 100 percent in 74 minutes.

For the global version, Redmi Note 10 comes in three variants, ranging from 4GB RAM variants and 64GB internal memory, 4GB RAM variants and 128GB internal memory, and 8GB RAM variants and 64GB internal memory.
Large internal memory is now increasingly needed. Moreover, file sizes such as videos, applications, and even games have a large size. For heavy games, many sizes can "swell" more than 1 GB.
Meanwhile, RAM is useful as storage space for various application data that are still active on the cellphone. So, more RAM means more active open applications.

As explained previously, Redmi Note 10 uses an AMOLED screen. One other advantage of the AMOLED panel screen is that it supports the fingerprint in display feature or a fingerprint scanner (to unlock) on the screen.
The fingerprint scanner on the Redmi Note 10 is still placed on the side of the cellphone body. On the Sound page , Xiaomi Indonesia itself has provided information, the placement of the fingerprint scanner on the side of the body aims to display an elegant design and pay attention to user comfort when holding their cellphone.

According to Xiaomi, the fingerprint scanner on the side of the body is not bad at all. However, in the future (on the Redmi Note 11?), Xiaomi did not rule out the possibility of using a fingerprint scanner under the surface of the screen.
Well, that's the explanation of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, the advantages and disadvantages of its specifications. This phone has advantages in terms of an AMOLED screen, a more powerful chipset, various camera configurations, to a large battery that is supported by the fast charging feature.
However, of course this does not mean that this phone has no flaws. Based on the assessment on paper, the drawbacks of the Redmi Note 10 so far are that there is no choice of RAM and a larger internal memory so that it does not use an on-screen fingerprint scanner.
