Surface Duo 2 with 8.3-inch diagonal screen and Snapdragon 888

Microsoft has announced its another foldable mobile called the new Microsoft Surface Duo 2 with two screens joined with a hinge. Lot of improvement in screen, 5G support and design. Let's get started..

Screen and Design

The Surface Duo 2 comes with two screen which is connected with a hinge to use it both in one position and in another. After we open the device screen becomes 8.3 inch diagonal screen and also the brightness of the AMOLED panels of 5.8 inch each has also been improved and the refresh rate has been increased to 90 Hz. As per design, the Surface Duo 2 seems more compact than it's older model. Notifications bar are displayed after we close the device.


The Surface Duo 2 offers stereo sound, however defends how we hold the device. This device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 5G connectivity. Microsoft explains that 150 Android games such as 'Asphalt Legends 9', 'Dungeon Hunter 5' or 'Modern Combat 5' are optimized to use one of the two screens as a controller and see the game on the second.

Where the older model was offering a simple 11 megapixel dual camera, this new Surface Duo 2 comes with a triple camera system with a 12 megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens and a 16 megapixel ultra-wide-angle third sensor with f / 1.7 and f / 2.4 aperture lenses, plus optical image stabilization.

Availability of the Surface Duo 2

The new Surface Duo 2 will be available from October 5.
