M1 Pro and M1 Max chips for The New MacBook Pro

As per the leaks, The new MacBook Pro will come with notch. Also according to the rumors the new Apple chips will not be called M1X or M2 as planned until now, but will called as 'M1 Pro' and 'M1 Max'.

The new MacBook Pro will come in two different sizes 14 inches and 16 inches and will arrive with notch. That option will allow to have a screen almost without frames even in the lower part and the return of the SD reader, the MagSafe connector or the HDMI port also seem more than probable.

The latest leaks almost confirm that in addition to the USB-C ports it is expected that these devices will have an SD card reader, an HDMI port and even the return of MagSafe, the charging port with a magnetic connection that Apple used.

The new MacBook Pro Design

After redesigning the devices, now we might not see the Touch Bar, the small touch screen that allowed the use of virtual keys might also be replaced with the traditional row of function keys.

Comparing to the older versions of MacBook Pro, if Apple confirms the notch might raise a different symbol for these devices like its size has been reduced in the iPhone 13. However, reducing the frames at the top makes the design more recognizable than ever.

The new MacBook Pro M1 Pro and M1 Max chips

The new leaks about the design are complemented by the theoretical final name of the new SoC of these teams. The successors of the M1 will not be the M1X and would be named as the M1 Pro and the M1 Max.

The M1 Pro and the M1 Max chips will have a 10-core CPU in which eight will be high-power and two high-efficiency. The difference between the two chips would be in the GPU.

The M1 Pro the GPU will have 16 cores.

The M1 Max the GPU will have 32 cores.

These devices will also be able to support up to 64 GB of RAM and what makes it stands out is that the 16 GB limit that the current Apple M1 chips have was criticized a lot.

Not last but least, we could also expect also expects the possible introduction of the new AirPods 3 and even a Mac mini that would also have some of the new variants of the M1 chip.
