Acer new Gaming Projectors Predator GD711 and Predator GM712


Acer continues to add new devices in its catalog as recent it added the L811 projector which is an ultra-short-throw 4K laser home theater model and now we see two new devices which are completely focusing on games. Gamers be prepared....Let's get started..!!!


The two new devices from Acer to gamers are called the Predator GD711 and Predator GM712 for players who's looking for a large diagonal and specific functionalities for this type of content.


The Predator GD711 Performance

The Predator GD711 is the most advanced machine in this segment. It is a DLP-type projector with an LED light source whose average life is around 30,000 hours and offers a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) compatible with HDR10.


It offers a color palette corresponding to 125% of the Rec. 709 space and also it offers more than 4,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, which in theory should allow its use in rooms with some ambient light, achieving a dynamic contrast of 2,000,000: 1.


It comes with several preset picture modes, including one for cinema with the maximum resolution of 4K but also another specific for high frame rate games that displays a resolution of 1080p at 120 Hz or 240 Hz, the latter in the case to have it connected to a PC.


According to the company, the Predator GD711 has a projection ratio of 1.22. Let's say, we can have a 100-inch diagonal with a projection of only 2.70 m. It also offers us an Eco operating mode that lowers noise to 23 dBa.




The Predator GD711 Connectivity

It comes with two HDMI 2.0 ports, audio output for external sound equipment, three USB Type-A ports, one for the projector's hidden wireless dongle, another for connect wireless accessories and a 5V DC output that also allows you to update the firmware of the device.


This projector also comes with an integrated application market that allows users to directly access streaming video services without the need of any other external equipment, connecting to the Internet through its wireless connectivity.


Acer Predator GM712

Here comes the Predator GM712 the other gaming projector announced by Acer, a projector with an external appearance oriented towards games but which loses some functionalities compared to The Predator GD711.

Acer Predator GM712 Performance

It comes with DLP projection system uses a light source based on a traditional incandescent lamp with a light output of 3,600 ANSI lumens and a maximum average life of 15,000 hours in Eco mode.


It comes with 4K resolution in cinema mode, gaming mode with 1080p resolution of up to 240 Hz in game mode, also the connections and the possibility of accessing the streaming content platform wirelessly are maintained.
